1000 FIORD LAKESIDE RESORT

Resort, Commercial, Attached Living, Luxury Villa

Fresh lake breezes and dramatic views make this destination resort the perfect escape from everyday life. An eclectic design brings together the lessons of history and the energy of the future.

Our client had the opportunity to be the first developer on a beautiful site facing a stunning freshwater lake. To secure the deal, they needed to present an exciting vision that would be the benchmark for future developed sites around the lake. Willamette Architecture 360 and our planning partners at GCH proposed a resort development of hotels, a town center on the marina, and a range of living options from serviced apartments to luxury vacation villas.

The steep hillside site and complex program required the team to be creative.  The siting and zoning for each element of the project was carefully studied to be sure the landscape was preserved, and the circulation was well thought out.  Multiple hotels for different guest profiles, a beach club, a yacht club, plus plenty of dining and shopping options provide the amenities to assure a vibrant new town.

The architectural vision was an eclectic blend of old and new.  Inspiration came from beautiful European towns, modern Pacific Northwest architecture, and contemporary organic forms to paint a romantic image fitting a destination resort.  The vision was developed to appeal to a broad range visitors and buyers. The clean lines of the modern business hotel balance the more traditional warmth of the family resort and marina boardwalk. Each create a unique and identifiable district within the new resort town.

The developer was granted approval after the first presentation. A big success in what is typically a long and expensive process.
